Why All-Natural Beauty Products Are Always A Must

If you care so much about the quality of food you ingest, why not do the same for your skin?

If anyone knows me, they know that I always focus on the welfare of my body, whether it be clean-eating, working out, or just taking time for myself as a personal method of meditation. But when it came to skincare, I never gave it much thought about what was, in reality, penetrating into my body and affecting my cell health as well. I will admit, I have never been the one that likes a lot of change when it came to skincare. Having such fair and sensitive skin, I was always scared to use new products for fear of having a bad reaction. As far as makeup goes, I kept it very simple and natural-looking. I had my products that I thought worked and that was that. It wasn’t until the opening of Aillea Beauty in Charleston, where I contemplated the true benefits of my tried and trued products I thought I would never let go of.

Now, a natural skincare routine is a HUGE priority for me and like rhythmic breathing during meditation, my beauty rituals always induce a feeling of calmness and control in my life. That’s why I never, EVER skip my morning and nighttime routine in my efforts to nourish my body holistically. At Aillea Beauty, no matter what I purchase, I don’t have to worry about what I am putting on my skin. The company’s ode to a paraben, sulfate, petrochemical, endocrine disruptor or other toxic chemical-free standard delivers to you products that perform incredibly and allows you to form healthy beauty standards without even thinking about it. Scroll to see all the products I use and swear by!

SKINCARE

  1. Osea Hylaronic Sea Serum: I apply this after my cleanser only in the morning! This product immediately gives you a face lift you never thought you could get and gives you a refreshed complexion, as apposed to the notorious bed-head look. For the drugstore cleanser I cannot live without, click here.

  2. Kypris Moonlight Catalyst: I apply this in place of the Osea Hylaronic Sea Serum at night. It is a natural retinol that gently gets rid of scaring and dark spots while giving your skin baby soft results!

  3. Vintners Daughter Active Botanical Serum: If you want a holy grail product for your skin, your lookin’ at it! The Vintners Daughter face serum delivers optimal concentrations of nourishing phytonutrients, balancing minerals, age-defying antioxidants, strengthening phytoceramides and amino acids, replenishing fatty acids, and brightening vitamins to deliver powerful skin nutrition in one step. I apply this day and night after all my steps. I even use this as my eye cream/oil.

  4. Kypris Beauty Elixir III Prismatic Array: Although I love my Vintners Daughter, this product is the way to go if you have sensitive skin and a more rosy complexion like me. The Kypris Beauty Elixir has a lot of the same benefits as the Vintners Daughter, but helps with calming my skin. I use this in place of the Vintners Daughter occasionally, especially in the winter. This product also pairs amazing with it’s Moonlight Catalyst.

MAKEUP

RMS “Un” Coverup: After my skincare routine, this concealer blends into my skin remarkably, creating a seamless under-eye look. I apply this under my eyes and to any blemishes I might have. My shade is 11.

Clove+Hallow Pressed Powder Foundation: This foundation is perfect for good coverage but allows your skin to keep your freckles showing. I use this on my face after I apply concealer and this helps even my skin and create a fresh look. My shade is 2.

Lily Lolo Pressed Bronzer: A natural sun-kiss that works on every skin tone. This bronzer is easily buildable without leaving your face streaky or fake-looking. Hands down, best bronzer I have ever owned. I use Miami Beach.

RMS Eye Polish, Shades Lucky and Lunar: I absolutely love these creme-like eyeshadows because of the easy application and the dewy look I always get from wearing them. I use Lunar as a highlighter, applying it on my high points and cheekbones. I use Lucky solely for eyeshadow. The copper tones make my blue eyes pop and also accentuates my contour.

I follow this step with my absolutely favorite mascara and lip shine. It’s super simple and easily applicable! Thank you Aillea for helping me find my complete look!
